A lady In Bant Macon stated that at about S o'clock Saturday night, a person come to her door and requested her to phone the hospital as h« bud juat run over an old man, and thought probably h* had killed him. After sour* delay the old negro was taken to the hospital, where every tiling possible was done for his comfort, bui to no avail aa his constitution was too weak to respond to the physician’s treatment, and he died late yesterday The person running over him Old not wait for tbs arrival of tbs ambulance, but hurried off os soon as be had re ported the accident and requested that the hospital authorities be notified.
