THE MACON DAILY TELEGRAPH: "WEDNESDAY MORNING, OCTOBER 28, 1903
Not the Heart
It Is Indigestion. Pains in your side around the
region of your heart are not always heart trouble.
That is.usually Indigestion. Kodol stops Indi
gestion— • • ...
It Is the gas arising from undigested food that !■ distending
the ftomach, forcing It upward. It presses against the heart valve
^nd causes tho pain, shortness of breath and smothery feeling.
What you need, Is, to get tho food in your stomach completely
digested and at the earliest opportunity. Kodol will do this. Un
digested food forms Into hard masses, which often cause Intense
pain. Every Dyspeptic knows what that suffering Is. Kodol re
lieves It as nothing else will.
In Indigestion tho stomach membrano Is inflamed. It Is sen
sitive. Sometimes It Is ulcerated. Hard, undigested food, moving
against that tender lining, naturally causes pain.
Just about nine times out of ten. people who complain about
having Jieart disease aro mistaken. They have Dyspepsia or Indi
gestion. Their stomach Is overworked. It Is run down and tired
out and It needs rest. Let Kodol do the work of the stomach for
a time.
If you take Kodol occasionally, you win surely he surprised to
Botloe how very quickly the “heart pains” will disappear.
Kodol contains all the.propcrtles required to thoroughly digest
aH kinds of food. It is the only way that you can do It Try

ROADS SURPRISED AT
FIRST DAY CROWDS
RAILROADS DIDN'T COUNT ON
BIG BUSINESS YESTERDAY
BUT WERE FOOLED.
“Our road handled a great many
more passengers than we expected on
the first day of the fair,” said a well-
known representative of the passen
ger department of one of the rail
roads yesterday. “We do not usually
expect to handle many people tho first
and second days of such occasions,
but we were agreeably surprised to
day,” continued ho. “The people gen
erally are ’from Missouri' about first
days, but they seem to have gained
the Idea very clearly that the Georgia
State Fair was to be rich from the
very Jqmp, and they aro pouring into
Macon on every train." .
"Besides the incoming fain crowds
iwe accommodated the Masons and
Odd Fellows, and vtfth theso we were
pretty cleverly taxed during Monday
night and Tuesday. We ars preparing
to handle great numbers of people
coming to Macon loaded down wlthl
fair visitors by tomorrow night. The
last of the week we are counting on
enormous crowds and If the start la
kept up the number of people handled
to the present attraction will eclipse
previous records. We are preparing|
to put on all the extra coaches neces
sary to furnish ample accommodations
for all who want to visit tho greatest
fair Macon has ever seen."
Other railroad men stated that their
respective lines had good crowds the
first flay, one employe stating he had
never seen folks In the adjoining
counties so eager to visit an exhlbl-[
tlon of this character.
Today being military day, It is ex
pected that many will be here from
all sections of the state, and the roads
are looking for big crowds.
