The retail district yesterday pre
sented an animated scene, on# that
made the good cltlsen feel proud and
wish that the streets were as crowded

the left-over visitors reluctant to leav#

the kind of a matinee to bring out the

NORFOLK, Va., Nov. T.—The suit for
divorce of Grace Darling Ray. a young
woman. IT years old. formerly of South
Carolina, but now living with her mother
in Norfolk, containing such charges
against her hueband. O. William Ray, aa
abduction, housebreaking and betrayal,
waa today met by the filing of a cross
bill by her husband, who charges that
the mother of hia wife is the wrecker of
hia home nnd responsible for the separa
tion of himself and wifa.
The divorce proceedings are the sequel
10 a romantic marriage of the couple in
SreeAvlIle county. South Carolina.
The young woniun alleges that she was
abducted from her home by the defen
dant on the morning of February 14. 1906.
