SHARP Fill COMES
AFTER STRONG NIA8KE1
DECLINE GAINS SUCH HEADWAY
AS TO LE/tD TO UPWARD RE
ACTION.
NEW YORK. Nov. 20.—The reaction
ary forces which have been gathering
strength in the stock market for several
days issued in a sharp fall of prices to
day. Tho decline gained such headway
as to lead to a strong upward reaction
In ths hitter part of the day on the as
sumption that weak accounts had been
cleared away. Today the aupportlng tac
tics were almost abandoned and the mar
ket was left to take care of Itself until
the nerce onslaught on the shorts at tho
last. The decline once In force, the ex
istence of numerous weakly margined
accounts was disclosed, which were
forced to sole by the fall In prices.
The tiear party In the speculation
which has been quiescent for weeks
plucked up courage In view of the manl
iest deterioration In the position of the
market and pushed their aggressive at
tack, finding no aupportlng orders to op-
pose them. Such rallying power as the
market hod seemed to come from the de
mand from this element to cover shorts
and take their profits. The fact of the
reaction In stocks directed attention to
some circumstances which were Ignored
during the advance. For Instance there
i Increased apprehension over the ef-
oratlon feeling.

NEW YORK. Nov. 20.—An easier mar

seriously than did Now York, which was
affected early in thn day by the weak

The government estimate will be publish

that Liverpool would advance sharply be
