Read the statement of Macon clti- sens. And decide for yourself. Hero Is one caso of it: H. H. Dupriest. 104 Clayton St., Mncon. Ga., says: "Several years ago I used Doan’s Kidney Pills with such good results that I gave a testimonial In their favor. At this time. I am per fectly willing to confirm my former statement, as since first using Doan's Kidney Pills I have had llttlo or no trouble from my kidneys. I can also speak highly of Doan’s Ointment. I suffered for several years from a bad case of Itching piles, which defied all my efforts for relief. Finally I learned of Doan’s Ointment and going to the Taylor-Bayne Drug Co. V procured a supply. A few applications brought relief and I have never had any trouble of the sort since. I am recommending these two preparations In the hope that my endorsement may be the means of benefiting other sufferers.” For sale by all dealers. Price B0 cent*. Foster-Mllburn Co.. Hunter Heads ^Petition to Gov ernor to Call the Election Again— Charges That Managers Left th* Precinct to Run as it • Pleased. The contest in the Godfrey dlstrlot over tho recent election for justice of the peace for that district gives promise of being a warm affair. Mr. J. I. Davidson, who received tho highest number of votes at the election, said yesterday that there were no grounds whatever for a contest. Tho charge, he says, that the man agers left the polls at any time Is un true. as they remained at their post during the voting hours. There was no druiikenness or other improper coh- duot r and that ho was legally elected. Mr. Davidson says that Mr. R N. Hunter, tho contestant, was not reg istered and could not vote In that elec tion. He says Mr. Hunters name does not appear on the tax books of Bibb county, that ho never made a re turn of taxes and that his name is not on the books of tho tax collector, or the registration list. The result of tho election In questlop was as .follow*: J. I. Davidson M, Geo. R King 36, E. C. Ellison 10, R N. Hunter 8. Mr. Davidson says that as Mr. Hun. ter was not a registered voter, and only received eight votes, and as he Is only n new-comer to the county, ho does not understand what right he has to bring a contest. On the other hand Mr. HUntor has secured a petition signed by aome of tho cltlxens of the Godfrey district be not Issued, and that a new election bo held. He doe* not contest th* elec tion that lie may be declared the wln-^ nor. but on the ground that there was drunkenness, and that the managers left the precinct to run Itself. Just what thu outcome will be Is not known, but the contest is on and there may be some interesting things de veloped. Burdock Blood Bitters purifies v the blood—cures the cause—builds you up. RECORDER'S COURTROOM BE HEATED BY A STOVE Frequenters, especially the witnesses and court officials, will appreciate tho promise made to Judge Urquhart that a stove will soon be placed In the re corder’s court room. This Is a very large room, and on a cold morning is about the coldest place In the city. It Is so cold that fre quently the sessions of the court are Interrupted by the sneexlng and cough- t«T of the people who are obliged to alt In It. . ^ Blew Locomotive Whistle Within the Limits of tho City. For the first time In many months a case of blowing a locomotive whistle within the oily limit* is before tho re corder. It was Officer Burke, stationed at th* railroad crossing on Bay street, heard a whistling the other night that was enough In the opinion of many to arouse the dead. He bunted every where for the man who era* doing th* blowing., but the blower had the ad vantage of an engine to keep out of the way with, and the officer failed to get him that night. He haa at last found out who the suspected man is, and ths case will be heard by tho re corder tomorrow. brln* me a avtonwbito and a train and I a hiltv goat ar.i wagnn and lots of mere I — dear old Hants also trie Jones, lit?
