The fraud came to the attention of

No Sign of Burns.

HlciniiM present examined Foskett and
they could not find tho slightest trace
of n burn or blister. Foskett told
them the flame* did not give him the
slightest sensation of burning, that he
felt comfortably warm and pleasant,
and nothing more.
The second tests were made at tho
home of Prof. James. In Cambridge,
and under the same conditions a H the
day before. Considerable mystery Is
thrown about them. Mr. Hall said
they were so startling that he did
not care to discuss them until they
had been tried again. Another scien
tist who was thero said that Foskett
performed rill of hi* experiments of the
day before, and then “absolutely and
positively dematerlallsed.”
"He seemed to dissolve Into thin ilr

so startling that we. I am afraid,

Prof. James refuses to talk about
the tests.
According to those who were present.
Foskett seems In a passive state dur
ing the tests, and he says he thinks
of nothing In particular. Those who
examined him discredit the hypnotlo
theory. They believe he haa aome Jgt-

CAMP FURNISHES A REAL
ROMANCE. ~
THOMASVILLK, Ga., Dec. 2D.—Rev.
A. W. Bealer, of the Thomasvllle Bap
tist Church, performed a marriage
ceremony yesterday, resulting from a
very romantic and uausual courtship.
The parties were Mrs. Gertrude Bon-
nell and Mr. James Gonzales. Mrs.
Bonnell is the lion tamer In tho cir
cus, which has recently como here to
•winter, nnd dally ha« performed the
most difficult and dangerous stunt of
going Into the cago with tho large
beast and making him go through his
numerous and exciting trick?. Mr.
Gonzales Is one .of t^e rqugh riders
In the show and. has one of Uhe big
parts In this feature.
Romantic Courtship.
The marriage Is the result a
very romantic courtship of several
months, whin dally with fear in hla
heart ho had watched h!« wlfa-to-bo
go through these dangerous visits,
U4 »!»<•. In turn, hod seen hla daw-
devil performances on top of a fiery
bronco.
They were married at 6:30 o'clock
at the pastorium in the presence of
the pastor’s family. The couple leave
today for Alberquerque, N. M., which
Is his home, to remain .for tho bal
ance of the winter, until the show
term for next year.
Two Feats.
The suggestion which has probably
entered the minds of some people Ui
It easier to tame lions or to tame
one man? This lady gave up the lion
training proposition to take up the
more difficult feat with a lone single
man. It Is safe to predict that she
will be successful In this feat as sho
has been so remarkably so In tho
other. The couple have the best wish
es of Thomasvllle people for n very
happy life.
