In a climate like ours, where the enervating in fluence oflong and warm summers is experienced by til, inviting the operation of causes, tending m the production of autumnal diseases, it is an object of no trifling import to the community to Lave recourse to a situation in which the assaults of disease may be prevented, its violence mitiga tod, and recovery rendered speedy and effectual. Such a place the undersigned honestly believes lie isoffering in the Montpelier Spring. Independent of the advantageous location of 'his establishment ; situated in a Tegion unques nonahly healthy; the Medical qualities of the wn ot. are of a character entitling it to high claims upon the confidence of the community. The waters of Saratoga and l! alls ton have long -we, rendered them places of extensive resort, 1 oth by invalids and persons of fashion. And the i?nal benefits derived from their use by persons 'iliouringunder Chronic Diseases (especially of the digestive organs) have obtained for them well merited celebrity—and from a pretty accurate analysis, by gentlemen of competent science, comparing the result with the analysis of the A atrrs of Saratoga and Ballston, as published by ■Jr. Mead, they find the waters of the Montpelie-, Spring, to possess, with a trifling exception the ■■amechemical qualities. Asa chalybeate contain ing more Iron than theformer and less than the lat fr, with a large proportion of the muriates of so daandlime; the most striking difference being 're absence of uneombined fixed air, with which * .ie Saratoga water abounds. Of the beneficial : pplication of this water in disease, the proprietor can.bear ample testimony. In chronic affections rfthe Liver, Spleen, and t cir concomitant functional derangement of the itonrmeh ; lie can confidently assert that he has "mn no remedy • f equal nature. In dyspepsia, •iut Hydra of modem times, it is an invaluable r- meuy, when aided r*s every remedy must be, by temperate use of well selected regimen. In ! sp asesof the skin, and particularly Tetter in all ovariety, ir is a certain remedy.Tn dropsies from ‘jtceral obstructions, chronic rheumatism, and it relaxation and debility consequent upon a 'tdence in low, unhealthy situations, its value ■ n ot easily estimated. Abundant testimony eould ■ ; o produced to establish the truth of this state* tnent. were it neecssary; hut an intelligent com munity will make the experiment and decide for •'H-mselves ; and with their award the proprietor 1 1 cheerfully rest the reputation of the Spring. “o nr.dersigned assures the public that he ?! ! < not thus recommend the use of the Mont . r water, hut having been extensively engag - 'a the practice of medicine in Georgia for near t rurty years, claims the right to judge of the r mefly he recommends. , yV H fountain is situated in one of the most 'oaltijy and be st improved situations of Georgia, J p rn l,l^( S from Macon near the road leading . that place to Thomaston.
