Governor shall obtain the law of Congress, fixing the latio of Repre sentatives to be elected for the National Legisla ture, agreeably to the late Census, it shall he his duty to issue his Proclamation, announcing the number ot Representatives this State is eu(i --! | led to.” And whereas, I have received official ! information, that the Congress of the United S'tatcs, have, by ai\ “Act for the apportionment ot Representatives among the several States, ac cording to the fifth census,” passed the twenty second day of May, eighteen hundred and thirty two, deelr.reJ that the State of Geogin, after the third day of March eighteen hundred and thirty* thrre, shall be representented in the House-of Representatives of the United States, by nine members, to he elected within the said State.
