Dec. 23. 80—ly iIVERY’ STABLE, Macon, Georgia. i The subscriber would inform the citizens of Macon, ntul those whose business brings them hither, that he has now completed his Sta hie on Second street, in a style inferior to but few in the Southern country, lie has also been dai ly adding, and will continue to do so, all that is necessary to the comfort of the man of plea sure, and for dcpatch to the traveller. He hds now on hand, used in the Livery, some forty head of horses, with a number of Barouches, Gigs, Sulkeys, &c. which are mostly new, and others are undergoing repairs nec ssary for the season ; besides which, in a few days, will receive an ad ditional supply ol Gig3 and Sulkies, well suited to the taste and wants of the place. Attached to the Livery Stable, is a coach-ma ker’s, painters, trimmers, and harness manu factory, as well as a Blacksmith shop ; and hav ing been at much trouble and expense in procu ring good workmen, for all these different branch es, will enable the subscriber at all times to keep his vehicles and harness in perfect repair. Every care and pains will be taken to promote the interest, comfort and convenience of the Pat rons of the Establishment; but the subscriber has been taught by experience, that persons hiring must make good all these delays, and injortes, which may happen. It is proper here to remark, that all carriages, gigs, or other vehicles, or horse, being inured by accident, ill-usage, or other cause, the person having hired the same, will be held liable therefore, for each day, the article or horse is withheld as unfit for service ; and also for repairing and feeding, during such delin quency. The heretofore established Prices will conti nue to govern, and may be seen at the Livery Stable; they are as moderate as tha times will admit. STAGE TO MONTPELIER SPRINGS. During the ensuing summer and fall, the sub scriber will run a daily tack between this place and the Montpelier Springs ; commencing on the first day of June—leaving Washington Hail, in Macon, at 3 o’clock, P. M. where seats can be procured, at tho usual stage rates, to-say, §1,75 per seat, payable in advance. THE INDIAN SPRINGS, Will also he visited twice a week, by hacks running from my stable—leaving Erwin’s Hotel, in Macon, every Tuesday and Saturday, at 8 o’- clock, A. M. and leave the Springs at 8 o’clock, on Thursdays and Monday’s ; price of a seat, $5 in advance. HORSES, Will be kept by the day, week, month or year. JOSEPH BENNETT. MAIL ARRANGEMENT, > Post Office, Macon, June 1, 1832. \ THE Northern Mail is due every night at 12 o’clock, and closes every day at 11 o’clock, A. M. The IVestem Mail, is due every day 12 o'clock, noon, and closes every day at 6J P. M. The Savannah Mail direct, is due on Mondays and Thursdays at 2 o’clock P. M. and closes on Friday and Mondays at t>i P. M. The Petersburg Mail, via. Milledgeville, Eatonton, Greensborough, k Washington, closes .Monday, Wednesday, and Friday’s at II A. M. The Covington Mail, via. Stallings’ Store, For syth, Jackson, Butt county, Henry C. H. &c. Also, The Talbottnn Mail, by way of Thomaston, Torbctsville, Bellville, &c. will close on Thurs days at Ci P. M. and is due at 5 P. M. on Tues day. An Extra Mail, as far as Forsyth, will be made up every Wednesday at 7 A. M. Letters for Hawkinsville, Dooly O. 11. and all Florida, are mailed on Wednesday at J 1 o’- clock A. M. The Mail for LaGrange, Campbellton, Wood’s Store, Newnan, Villa Rica, Carrollton, and all that part of the state, closes on Thursday at P. M. The Perry Mail via. Oulloden’s, Thomaston, Fayetteville to DeKalb C. 11. is made up on Fri day at P. M. Every one wishes their letters to go with despatch, to effect this, they must have them in the Office previous to the hour of closing the mail. The Office, (until the Ist of October) will he opened on Sundays, from 7 until 8 A. M. for the purpose of delivering Letters. ON Thursday the 29th March, a .young man who called himself RILEY, laired a saddle horse from my I,ivery Stable, during my absence for two days, and has not since been heard of.— The following is a description of him and horse, he is of a slender statute, middling height, light complected and has a full lace —the horse is a dark bay, has a long rail and short mane, and his hind fet-locks are considerably sprung—B or 9 years old, and 1-1 or 15 hands high. It is possible he may have been taken sick, arid if not the pub lic arc cautioned against him, he wore a light colored suit, with a round-about of the latest fash ion. The public are cautioned against trading for a horse of the above description, if he has stolen the horse, a liberal reward will t e paid lor the safe detention of the horse or for the de tection of the thief so that herr.av he brought to justice.
