C.D. Albany. Jean 26.—'The revival conducted by Mr. Culpepper and Miss Begley continues for week. Last night the Methodiid was crowded and a great many were unable to obtain teats. The interest seems to be increasing. Mr, William Goodman, of Dakar county, -fought m a lot of eorn Saturday of the Golden Dent variety, raised ibis year, and had it made into tneal. He baa been eating sweet potatoes for two weeks—raised this year. M r. G. is a progressive young farm er, and only demonstrates what can be done in this section of Georgia if we only had the enterprise. Three of our sister city's (Americas') most popular gentlemen paid us a virit yes terday, and were handsomely entertained by the Albany boys at the Rogers House. The genial host,'Mr. G. Rogers, set up a magnificent dinner. Your reporter was invited as Baptist church by Rev. F. H. M. Hender son, was pronounced by all who heard it to have been an able effort. The words of advice given to the students of the insti tute were the best and most appropriate I ever heard, and the manner in which he discussed the usage of the old field schools was very good. The speaker held his large audience perfectly charmed for an hour with his sound theological reasonings, and his brilliant and elequent enuncia tions of logic. On Monday night the Juve nile portion of the school made prepara tions to prepare for their show, consisting of pieces and speeulies, read and spoken. The brass bend furnished the squeaking for the occasion. The piano musio was fine I suppose, that is, if one piece was, it ail war, as every piece sounded just alike tome, eachoommeneingwithatweedledee and ending with a tweedle dam.
