The Twenty-sixth street hospital, better

hospital the skin was coming off his
hands, arms and body in scales, which re
sembled wheat bran, but after a course of
treatment the scaling off ceased and the
disease has made no apparent prog e«
siuco. As leprosy proper has never been
known 11 be affected by treatment, but
pursues its march slowly, yet relentlessly,
the physicians incline to the opinion that
S.gujo's disease is something else, possibly
of a syphi'itic nature. However, as he is
willing to remain, and as the disease is un
defined. ho is still in the hoepital He

other patients, and calls himself he laun-
dryman of the institution, declaring that
he is not an invalid.
The other three parties are three broth
era—Frank, Edward and Ernest Bindt—who
hare been in the hospital but a short time,
and whose owes are interesting for several

their mother a native of the Hawaiian Isl
ands. Bindt is at present employed in the
Sprockets sugar refinery and frequently
visits bis sons. The boys, who were born
in the S.indwicb Islands, would be taken
