There was a smooth cut a third of an inch long in the edge of the lapel of the vest oo the left side. Tho blood stained the shirt just beneath nnd had a smooth cut seven-eighths of an inch long. The cut in tho J:ipel of tho vest snd in the shirt was uudouli edly mado by the same instrument at the saute time. Tho cut was on the left side, about Uu Kcliva below the seek and two inches fr. m the center of the shirt bosom. The jury fitted the dirk taken from Robert Howard to tho cut in the shirt.
