Paris, July 80.—A meeting of minis
ters to consider Slam’s unreserved ac
ceptance of France’s ultimatum was
held at tho Elyssee between 6 and 7
o’clock this evening. President Carnot
came from Marly Le Roi to preside.
These members of the cabinet were
present: Dupuy. premier: Polncarre,
minuter of education; Rlt-unier, min
ister of marine: Vlette, minister of
public works: Derille, minister ot for
eign affulrs; Terrier, minister of com
merce and colonies.
Deleasie, under secretary ot state
for the colonies, telegraphed that from
the country that they would support
any action which council might take.
As far as can be ascertained, M. Pcy-
trai. M. Guerin. Gen. LolzlUon and M.
Vlger. the other absentees, offered no
special excuses. Gen. Lolxlllon caused
considerable comment by leaving the
city thU morning for Mezlere*. that
he might attend the unveiling of the
Bayard monument.
After deciding to accept Slam’s con
cession of the French demands, the
ministers left their dcAmte action un
til measures should have been taken
to guarantee Siam’s fulfillment of the
French demands. They took steps,
however, to Inform M. Pavler, France’s
minister, of Slam’s acceptance of the
ultimatum and the consequent action
of today's council.
Tho conference ,of ministers was
prolonged by the discussion of steps
which might be necessary in settling
the boundary question between France
and Grunt Britain. A certain amount
of difficulty is expected to embarrass
this .part of the negotiations.
Another cabinet meeting will be held
Tuesday, when efforts will be made
to have sll the ministers present.
