to 51%. sold between 07% and 07%. clos
ing at the Inside, %a% of a cent under
Monday. Cash wheat was steady.
and the weakness of wheat further em
phasized the sinking tendency, Hie trade
was light and the lack of support gave
short sellers the better of the Situation.
May corn opened at 48%, declined to 47%
and closed at 475fc—% of a cent under Mon
day. Cash corn was % of a cent per
bushel lower.
Oats had no Incentive to advance and
therefore suffered by the weakness of
wheat and com. The trade was not
forge or of particular movement. May
closed at 31%-%a% of a cent under Mon
day.
Provisions.—The hogs were too many
for the yards market this morning and In
the natural course product felt the
weight of the heavy arrivals and was
further depressed by the estimate of a
large run for tomorrow. Some packing
concerns were free sellers, but In the
main the business was not large. The
close, was 30a32% cents under Monday for
May pork, 12%a!5 cents lower for May
lard and 12% cents lower for May #lbs.
