for cloths. Liverpool advanced 914 to 4
points, with npot sales of 12,08) bales. A
private Manchester dispatch today said:
"Business Is large. We expect spinners
to buy freely for ths present. We think
that they hold very small atocka of cot
ton." Cotton goods are selling more free
ly. Port receipts today, 20,919. against 24,-
275 last week and 10.901 last year; thus
far (his week. 50,048, against 69,017 thus
far last week. Spot cotton here was
steady at an advance of 1-16 of a cent,
with aalss of Ml bales. The Southern
Orleans receipts tomorrow srs estimated
at 0.000 to 7,000 hales, against 11,179 last
Wednssdsy and 9,Ml last year. Bombay
receipts for fhe half week were 14.two
baled; against 91.600 last year. New Or
leans was 17 to IS points higher.
