Mrs. Maude Yotingo died very
suddenly- Monday evening of
heart, dropsy. She had gove over
to visit Mrs. R. D. Law, a door-
neighbor, and died sitting in a
rocking chair on the veranda. She
left a babe or six weeks. She
was a good woman, only a year a
bride, eldest daughter of Mr. W.
II. Hooks. Her body was carried
t.o Americas for burial. The sor¬
rowing husband has our sym¬
pathy.

Two New Business Houses.
The Raney old store is doomed.
It is to be pulled down next
week. In its place is to be erected
a handsome structure, 48x100
feet, framed of yellow pine and
walled with brick-pattern pressed
steel, to be used as a warehouse,
brokerage and wholesale grain
establishment. Tlio material has
been ordered and the work is to
commence next Monday. Mr.
James M. Raney will be the
proprietor.
