Mr. Glenn's idea is that the system or education should be of a charac¬ ter to make the pupils do a great deal of thinking. Now they are tuughl to memorize hundreds of tilings which arc of no benefit to them. The memory is cultivated, but the reasoning pow¬ er is not, to the extent il should be.
