Boys you have fo vote In disfaranchixe
ment after you elect a Governor ltold enough
to show the legislature that the people want
it. All of you have to vote on it sure. If it
disfranchises a single white man, we pro
pose fo vote against it ourselves. We know
it won’t do it,
There have been many fake Constitutions
of Alabama Circulated cver Ga., every white
man votes in Alabama. Andyou can vote
here, and we might make an improvement
over Alabama besides. Hoke Smith will car
ry over 100 counties. Clark Howell will
carry less tha 25 counties. Voteto break
up state ring rule or you will be enslaved.
Albert Howells man Dempsey got

] hundreds over we give m round fteures,
Claiks lientenant Dick wants to cut off all
‘taxes on them. At present rate their
' whole taxes amount to about $3,000.
Some few would not be cut off from owun
inr over the $3OO perhaps, but how would
we run the county and vote for Dick,
when Dick and Clark are running like
brothers, Dick tells the boys where it
would go vell in a white country that he
i~ in favor of free school books.
What wonld this do for LEE to have to
furnish all this to CUFF. Don’t hear
him mentioning it south of t he monntain

i Clarks friends all over Georgia say he has
1o shov in the world. Why 1s such a
Stubborn fight made for him in Lee. Is it
not to try and break into the convention
with eneugh votes to tie it up and have no

in many counties we are informed that eft
forts are being made to get the managers not
to hold the primary, We do.’t think there
is any danger whate er in Lee. But boys, if
the managers should be sick just take three
freeholders and hold the election. That is
the law, iust hold it

I was made to feel bed in Americus a
i few days ago, a promirent gentlemgn

Goveravor, I said Hoke Smith who said |
he Mr. so and so of Lee said they woull
l}buv enough to give Clark a majority, and
Mr so and so isconsidsred one of our
best citizens, now that sounds bad for us
folks of Lee. ,
It stunned me so I had to stop and list

Then I reported what some of our boys
said about »ampaign money, they said
s uce the gentleman come among us boys
on the river to buy, he made several strong
