A tiger blind from the good old

Commissioner Gaston’s office on
Spring street.
The tiger, which ft as owned by
M. H.Hite of the county aforesaid,
was quitely meandering along
Pine street, near the Cotton facto
ry, when Deputy Morshal McAfee
pounced down upon it.
If it had not bodh for McAfee
it is doubtful if it would have
been on exhibition.
It was a well equiped tiger, hav
ing two good mules, wagon, ; keg
of whisky, jug, wash tub, measur

Hite was tried before Commia
