Great Core of Rheumatism — The Editors I
of the Richmond Republican, of Dec. ‘24, 1852,
says that Carter’s Spanish Mixture is 110 quack
medicine.
■ They had a man in their press room who was
| afflicted with violent mercurial rheumatism, who
was eontinna’iv complaining of misery in the
back, bmbs and jointshis eyes had become’
feverish and mattery, neck swollen, throat sore,
nr and aii the symptoms es rheumatism, combined
with Scrofula. Two bottles of Carter’s Spanish
Mixture cured him, and in an editorial notice as
above, they bear testimony to its wonderful ef
fects, and sav th ir only regret is, that all suffer-;
ing with diseases of the blood are not aware of*j
the existence of such a medicine. They cheer
fully recommend t. See their cevtificat ■ and 1:0- 1

Heal the Sick —Men ofliber.il education at j
the present day, devote all their talents to dis
c ver the m l ms w e by they n a ivn ove tl e e
painful maladies which assail the human frame.
There is no nobler art than that of healing the
sick, considering the numberless diseases to
winch man is liable, and which may cause him
to drag out a protracted life of distress, or sud
denly cut him off in the. bloom of lrs existence
and usefulness. We should gratefully seize up
on every means of counteracting their dreadi’ol
effects, or causing a removal of those clogs to
happiness. In those cases where the Liver or
the Stomach i< *hu cause, we would highly re
commend Dr. Hoof]ami's German Bitters, pre-j
pareil by Dr. C. M. Jackson. No medicine at
this time stands higher thaw these Bitters, and l
to those who are suffering from the horrors
of Indigestion, we say they are the antidote.
A Reprieve.— We do not refer to a reprieve
from Capital Punishment. There is a slow tor
ture. from wVch a respite is equally desirable. I
I We refer to Dyspepsia—a word in which all the
horrors of indigestion are summed up. To the;
sufferers be this painful and harassing disease,,
we c m hold out not only bright hopes, but toe!
certain?’/ of immediate relief and permanent!
cure. There is atomic, cordial and alterative!
; principle in II r.fi mil's German Raters, which
inevitably .arrest and changes the morbid action
! of the stomach and the secretive organs, re
-1 moves the disease, and restores to health.—
