Choosing a Name.
Hove many of our readers seen the pretty
verses on the naming of a child, written by
Mary, the unhappy sister of Charles Lamb ? We
shall presume that they hare nrtt, and without
apology publish them;
I have got a uew-fedrnlister;
I was nigh the finit -that kissed her,
When the nursing Woman brought her
To papa, his infant daughter,
How papa's‘dear eyes did glisten !
She will shortly ‘bmto christen:
And papa has made the offer,
Is hail-have-the naming of her.
No^’/Twonder whiiWrn Id please her,
Charlotte, Julia or'Louisa ?
)\mi; and Mary, theyYe too common ;
Joap’s too formal ** a woman ;
Jane's a'pretier name besides;
Hut we had a‘Jane that died.
They would' B*7 if twas Rebecca,
‘That she was a little Quaker.
.
; Edith’s pretty. but that looks
Better in old English books ;
KllemaMeft off long ago;
■ Blanche is out of tashiou now.
None that I have named as yet
Are sd-gnoS as Margaret.
•Emily is neat and fine—
What d3 you think of Caroline?
; Hbw I’m puzzled and perplexed
What to chose or think of next,
I am in a little fever
Lest the name that I should give her
‘Should disgrace her or defame her
1 will leave papa to name her.

Breathing Medicines directly into the lungs is
certainly the rational mode of attacking the

discoveries, it seems strange why such treatment
was not resorted to long ago. ‘Where there is

of this insidious disease, the wonderful and bcu
