the Cherokee Baptist College at this place
‘Will not he ready for use forseveral months
to come, I am authorized by Joseph Chap
man and James T. Standish, he contractors,

for recitations for 150 studeits) and the ex

Chineese Slgar Cane —We learn from
the Grayville (Southern Illinois) Herald
that the Chinese Sugar Can? has been cul
tivated with great success in that region
during the past year, and a writer in that
paper expresses great confidence that far
varrz mnkeit a valuable agricultural
product in ‘bat latitude.
It is estimated that notleus than 14,000
negroes have been landedoo the Island of
Cuba during the last light months, as
slaves.

door in the town of Cassville, within the usual
hours of sale, liie following property, to-wit:
Lots of Laud Nos. 190, one-half of 189, sixty
acres of 202, ninety acres of 201, comprising
the homesteaded’ the late R. A. Miluer, dec’d,
all in the 15th district and 3d section of Cass
county, situate in Oothcaloga valley, two miles
cast of Adairsville. The place contains
FOUR HUNDRED AND TEN ACRES,
and is of the very best, quality of land. There
is upon said premises a good comfortable dwel
ling house, built upon the cottage order; gin
house and screw, and an excellent spring of
blue limestone water.
Also, lot of Land, No. 217, containing 160
acres, all in the woods, and good land; also,
the undivided half of Lot No. 219, lying east of
the main settlement.
Also, the house and lot in the town of Car
tersvillo whereon the deceased lesided at the
time of his death. The lot contains about two

cute to said Tinsley Ballenger his bond, condi
tioned to execute good and sufficient titles to
said Tinsley Ballenger, for a certain tract or
parcel of land, lying in Greenville district, So.
Carolina, bounded by lands of Lewis Dickey,
N. Rector, and R. R. Pace, and others; and it
further appearing that said Daniel Mosteller de
parted this life without executing titles to said
tract or parcel of land, or in any way providing
therefor; and it appearing that saul Tinsley
■ Ballenger has paid the full amount of the pur
chase price of said land, and said Tinsley Bal
lenger having petitioned this court to direct Ja
c.)b Mosteller and Benjamin F. Mosteller, ad
ministrators on the estate of said Daniel Mos
teller, deceased, to execute to him titles to said
tract or parcel of land, in conformity with said
bond: It is therefore hereby ordered, That no
