dred and fifty-seven, Ephraim Porter conveyed
to the said C. A. Williams k Son, two certain
town lots in the town of Adaireville, and coun
ty of Cass, known (first) as lot number twen
ty, in the plan of said town, bounded on the
north by the lands of William C. Freeman,
south by the lands of William C. Blalock, east
by the right of way of the Western k Atlantic
Rail Road, west by the lands of Griffith,
said lot being ninety feet front, containing one
halt acre, known as the Knott place. Also, a

months of such application, that all persons
concerned may file their objeciions, if anv they
hnve, in my office, why said Thomas A. Word,
Administrator ns aforesaid, should not execute
titles to said land in conformity with said
bond.

William Bradley that on the twenty-third
day of September, eighteen hundred and fifty-
six, John J. Ellis made and delivered to Wil
liam Bradley his certain promissory note,
bearing date the dav and year aforesaid,
whereby the said John J. Ellis promised by
the first day of October next, 1857, to pay the
said William Bradley or bearer one hundred
and seven dollars, for value received, and af
terwards on the same day and year aforesaid,
the said John J. Ellis, the better to secure the
payment of said note, executed and delivered
to said William Bradley lot of land number
one hundred and seventy-seven, in the fifth

Scott, Butrell H. C. Bomar, Nimrod Scott,
Teleman Cuylcr, Alexander Bishop, Thomas

ilton are held and firmly bound unto his Ex
cellency, the Governor of said State, for the
time being, and to his successors in olfice in
the just and full sum of one thousand dollars,
for the payment of which we bind ourselves,
our lieirs, executors and administrators, joint
ly and severally, firmly by these presents,
sealed with our seals, aud dated this 5th day
of October, 1852.
The condition of the above obligation is such
that if the above bound Elias G. Scott shall
personally appear before the Superior Court,
to be 1 eld for said county on the second Mon
day in March next, then' and there to answer
the State aforesaid, for and concerning the
murder of Seay, with which the said Elias
G. Scott stands charged before me, and shall
not depart thence without ieave of Court, then
this obligation to be void—else to remain in
lull force.
