May 20, 1S5S—ly,
although I consider
proper management of those fearful and often
fatal diseases, yet I deem it necessary that each
patient should have the benefit of both general
and local treatment. The success of my treat
ment in the above diseases, and the high char
acter of the Institution over ivtiich I have so
Iong had the honor to preside are too wel 1 known
to need any eulogy or comment from me. At
t he solicitation of many private and profession
al friends, through whose philanthropic aid the
above charity has been long and liberally sup
ported, and after due consideration, I have con
cluded to make such arrangements as will bring
the benefits of my experience and treatment
within the reacli of all, and not confine myscll,
ns heretofore, to those only who entered the
Infirmary, or who were able to visit me at my
office. Hoping, therefore, that the arrange
ment will give entire satisfaction, both to my
professional brethren and the public, I would
respectfully announce, in conclusion, that I
can now be consulted personally or by letter, on
diseases as above, and that the medicines, the
same as used in the Institution, prepared to
suit each individual cnso.In/uil-ing V<ipors.iftd-
ical Inhalers, Ac., Ac., will be forwarded by ex
press to any part ofthe United States or'Can-
Canndas.
Terms—My terms of treatment by letter are
as follows, viz: #12 per month for each patient
which will include medicine sufficient for one
month’s use; also, Inhaling Vapor, and an
Inhaling Apparatus. Payment as follows: $6
to be paid to Express Agent on receipt of the
box of Medicine, and the balance, #«, at the ex
piration ofthe month, if the patient be cured
or is entirely satisfied with the treatment. Pa
tients, by giving a full history oftheircase, and
their svmptoms in full, can be treated as well
bv a letter as by personal examination. Pa
tients availing themselves ofDr. Jarrett’s treat
ment, may rely upon immediate and permanent
relief, ashe seldom has to treat a case over thir
ty days. Lettei s for advice promptly answered.

The Liver Invigorator!
PREPARED BY DR. SANFORD,
Compounded entirely from Out,
I S ONE OF TnE BEST PURGATIVE AND
LIVER MEDICINES now before the pub
lic, that acts as a Cathartic, easier, milder, and
more effectually than any other niedieiup
known. It is not only a Cathartic, bnt a Livar
remedy, acting first on tins Liver to eject its
morbid matter, then on the stomach and bow
els to carry off that matter, thns accomplishing
two puniuses effectually, without any of the
painful feelings experienced in the operations
of most Cathartics. It strengthens the system
at the same time that it purges it; and when
taken daily in moderate doses, will strengthen
and build it up with unusual rapidity.
