Troubles apprehended at Charlestown.
Chaklestows, Nov. 19.—CoL Davis
lias called for more troops. Rumor says
letters have been intercepted cheering
Brown and his associates, and giving as
surances that they shall all be rescued.—
The property of several of the Jurors has
been burned. Troops leave Richmond for
Charlestown in the morning. There is
considerable excitement here.
The latest accounts from Charlestown,
report that all was quiet.
Brownsville Safe.
N’ew Orleans, Nov. 19.—Cortins had
not made an attack on Brownsville up to
the evening of the 8d insL
Harper’s Ferry.
Ricuhxnd, Nov. 19.—Col.’ Davis has
telegraphed Gov. Wise that a large body
of armed men are approaching from the
direction of Wheeling.
A regiment of four hundred strong had
left Richmond in an extra train and Gov.
Wise is a passenger, more troops have
been ordered to have themselves in readi
ness. —
