and every mechanic, of whatever character, taking
contracts for work exceeding fifteen dollars, shall
pay Five Dollars.
21. Every cigar manufactory shall pay Ten Dollars.
22. Every circus shall pay One Hundred Dollars
per day. every menagerie shall pay Twenty-five Dol
lar per day. aud every sldo show, whero an addi
tional charge is made,shall pay Twenty-flvo Dollars.
23. Every cotton press shall pay Flvo Dollars per
month while in operation.
24. Every shop or storo for the sale ot cigars, to
bacco, snnflf, etc., shall pay Ton Dollars and the
tax levied upon other sales.
25. Every manufactory ot confectionery shall pay
Ten Dollars.
26. Every traveling theatrical company shall pay
Ten Dollars for the first and Five Dollars for each
succeeding performance.
27. All traveling concerts, exhibitions and shows,
of uv^y chfinctor, shall pay Five Dollars for the

ing performance.
28. Every dancing school shall pay Teu Dollars.
29. Every person or firm dealing in tropical shells,
• urioslties, etc,, shall pay Ten Dollars.
30. Every dealer in loo, in quantities exceeding
fifty pounds, shall pay Twonty Doll an.
31. Every one-horse dray, wagon, cart, buggy or
other vehicle hauling or carrying for hiro, or used
by bakers, butchers, manufacturer* of soda or min
eral waters, merchants, builders or other porsons
for the delivery of bread, meats, soda o r mineral
waters, Ice, goods, wares and merchandise sold, and
lumber and other material used, shall pay Fire Dol
lars and twenty-five cents; and every two-horse
wagon, carriage or other vehicle hired or so used
shall pay Ten Dollars aud twenty-flvo cents, the
number being furnished by the city and affixed to
each vehicle.
32. Every drummer or commercial traveler who
sells goods, wares and merchandise to merchants,
either by sample or taking orders, shall pay Twen-

merchandise, or other articles ofany description,,
who sells by sample or otherwise, to others than
merchants, shall, before exposing the same for sale,
