Received and then referred to committees on finance and streets, drains and bridges. Rend a communication from J. E. Dart, offering to Bell tho city 197 acreB of land for a permanent quarantine station for $2,500 to be puid in three yearly installments, with interest at at five per cent, which was, on motion of Aid. Littlefield, received and then referred to a committee of three and the Mayor, to report at an adjourned meeting to bo held at 7:30 p. m. on tbe 16th inst. The Mayor and Aid. Littlefiold, Harvey and Cook were ap pointed ns the committee. The committees on railroads and streets, drains and bridges, to whom had been referred tho communication of P. W. Brewster, agent for Ii. B. lteppnrd, reported that the mutter had been satisfactorily adjusted by the parties themselves. By Aid. Harvey: ltesolved, That tin regular meetings of Council be held until farther action of C<>uucil, at 8 p M. on tho first Wednesday in end month. The resolntion, being seconded, was unanimously adopted.
