had thoir usual May festivities this
week, all the same day. The Episco
palians picniced at the grove, the
Baptists at the mineral spring and the
Presbyterians enjoyed a strawberry
festival at the residence of their Super
intendent. The day was delightful,

school had a pleasant time.

ed at the ball. Who will be the fa
vored ones is yet to be decided.
ELABORATE PREPARATIONS
Are being made for the grand display
of fire-works. They have come, aud
will be operated by Col. Glover und
his committee, who know their busi-
nees. Seats will be abundant for the
vast tlirpng who will witness this
night scene of bounty and splendor.
