>LS LIFT A CORN
OFF WITHOUT PAIN!
Cincinnati Authority Tells How to Dry
Up a Corn or Callus so it Lifts
off With Fingers.
You corn-pestered men and women
need suffer no longer. Wear the shoes
that nearly killed you before, says this
Cincinnati auth rity, because a few
drops of freezone applied directly on a
tender, aching corn or callus, stops
soreness at once and soon the corn or
hardened callus loosens so it can be
lilted out, root and all, without pain.
A email bottle of freezone costs very
little at any drug store, but will posi
tive^ - take off every hard or soft corn
or callus. This should be tried as it is
Inexpensive and is said not to irritate
the surrounding skin.
If your druggist hasn’t any freezone
tell hint to get a small bottle for you
from his wholesale drug house. It is
fire stuff and acts like a charm every
time.—(advt.)

BUY PAINT WITH
YOUR EYES OPEN
There's as much difference in the
character of paints as in people. You
want paint that not only looks well on
your property, but that will give you
the best service at lowest cost.
That is the reason you should buy a
paint containing the greatest amount
f zinc. Without it paint rapidy
darkens, scales off and decays.
Mastic Paint, the kind that lasts, is
made with pure white lead and zinc
oxide, 50 per cent, each, ground in pure
jLinseed Oil.
Mastic Paint lasts longest, has
greatest covering capacity, and is very
economical.
Be sure to use MASTIC PAINT—it is
guaranteed and must give you absolute
.satisfaction.

10 WARD OFF TVPHOID
Pyhsicians report the existence of
a few cases of typhoid fever within
the city limits, and there has been one
! known fatality from this disease here.
Citizens of Cartersville, as far as
| possible, should look to their premises
| with a view of removing all breeding
places of flies and mosquitoes, which
pests are the conveyors and carriers
of this disease. In the absense of a
sanitary sewerage system in Carters
ville, each man must care for his own
health and must take extraordinary
preoeutions to insure the keeping of
this disease at a minimum.
There are many complaints arising
f:om various quarters of the city be
cause of lack of "sewerage facilities,
and. should this question again be
submitted to the people of Carters
ville, it is doubtful whether there will
be any votes cast against it. Certainly
the sentiment in Cartersville today,
due to the existence of fever in the
month of July, almost a full month
ahead of the time when it usually ap
pears, and the death of one prominent,
bright and esteemed citizen from this
disease, has caused universal demand
for a sanitary system of sewerage and
it appears to be the fervent hope of
every citizen that the time will soon I
be reached when Cartersville will it
self install a sewerage system.
i In the meantime, let every citizen
; whose general health will permit, sub
j mit to vaccination for typhoid and to
! see to it that members of his family
also are vaccinated. Statistics submit
ted by the members of the medical
profession prove that typhoid has
] been almost completely eradicated
j from the armies formed today in
i America and on European soil. Out
j of the British army, composed today
of something like 3,500,000 soldiers,
there is said to be only two cases of
typhoid. In the American army where
soldiers suffered during the Civil war
and during the Spanish-American war,
more from typhoid than from bullets,
the disease has been almost totally
eradicated; while the German army is
supposed to be practically free from
this disease, —all due to vaccination
and the disepyery of the vaccine that
one immune from attack.
