It is hereby ordered that one dollar
and twenity cents on the one hundred
dollars be and is hereby levied on all
the taxable property in said county,
as per the digest of 1917, and any oth
er property in said county subject to
taxation, for county purposes, for said
ve.ar and that the same be collected
by the Tax Collector of said County,
for the following purposes, to-w”it:
Ist.
Thirty-five (35) cents on the one
hundred dollars, to pay the legal in
debtedness of the county, due ami to
become d ue > during the year 1917. or
past due.
2d.
Twenty-five (25) cents on the one
hundred dollars, to build and repair
bridges and other improvements, ac
cording to the contract.
3d.
Three (3) cents on the one hundred
dollars, to pay'Sheriff. Jailers, or other
officers'’ fees, that they may be legally
titled to out of the county.
4th.
One (1) cent on the one hundred
dollars, to pay the expenses of the
county, for bailiffs at courts, non-resi
dent witnesses, in criminal cases, fuel,
stationery and the like.

Two (2) cents on the one hundred
dollars, to pay expenses incurred in
keeping the poor of the county, and
as otherwise prescribed by he code
of Georgia.

Five (5) cents on the one hundred
dollars, to pay jurors a per diem com
pensation.
Forty (40) cents on the one hundred
dollars, for a public road fund, for the
purposes and as provided in section
696 of the Code of Georgia and amend
ments thereto.

Nine (9) cents on the one hundred
dollars, to pay any other lawful charge
against the county.
Said sums aggregating one dollar
and twenty cents, on the one hundred
dollars, on the taxable property of
said county, for county purposes, as
aforesaid, for the year 1917.
It is further ordered that this order
be spread upon the minutes of this
court and the same published, a copy
posted at the court house door and a
copy furnished the tax collector, as
provided by law.

school age to attend school.
Teachers and Trustees of each
school district are asked and required
to take a census of their school, se
curing the name and age of each child,
and rei>ort to our Superintendent, Mr.
J. W. Jackson, by December Ist, 1917.
If you want a raise ini teachers’ salar
ies, our superintendent is authorized
by this board to raise a one-teacher
School salary $5.00 per month; a two
teacher school salary SIO.OO per
month; a three-teacher school salary
$15.00 per month, prorated, provided
each teacher goes to work with the
trustees of their school, take the cen
sus, and raise last j’ears average, and
conform in a large measure to our
compulsory School law. The trustees
of said schools promise to raise one
half of stated raised salaries and give
a note payable to said teacher or
teachers for the stated one half
amount. Every child of school age in
every school district will be required
to attend school, as per our law. If
any father or mother claims they are
not able to send their child or children
to school, he or she must make oath
to this board, or their representative,
immediately, stating this condition,
and in every case parties making this
oath will be required to secure two
citizens of their respective community
to confirm or ratify said oath.

tramways, or other like pur
poses; the right of way to the 80 feet
wide for side tracks and spur tracks,
with the right to keep, operate and
maintain said railroads, tramways and
roads at all times.
Also a right of way of necessary
width on and over said lands for a pipe
line from Two Run Creek across the
lots above named to lots Nos. 163, 167,
168 and 169, and the right to locate,
erect, keep, maintain and operate a
pumping station with all the machin
ery and buildings therefor and houses
for the operatives on any of said lands
of said Wooten; with the free use of
water in and from said Two Run creek
for the purpose of mining, w’ashing
and preparing ores and minerals for
shipment.
Also the right to drain and win
back into the creek over any of the
lands of said Wooten the water from
the mud dams and dykes at the mines
on the lands herein offered for sale.
Also a right of way not exceeding
ly feet in width for a wagon road or
tramway, on and over any of the lands
of said Wooten.
Also the right to build, use and
maintain mud dams, dykes, etc., on
any of the lands aforesaid of said
Wooten, for use in mining operations.
For a more particular description of
the rights, privileges and easements
in said deed contained, reference is
hereby made to the record thereof as
aforesaid.
All bids for the purchase of said
lands at said sale, shall be in writing,
inclosed in a sealed wrapper address
