TWO YOUNG LADIES EXEMPLI
FY THE RED CROSS SPIRIT.
A practical result of the work and
teachings of the red cross spirit was
shown during the fair on Confeder
ate Veterans’ day. An old veteran
became sick on the grounds. He was
compelled to fall out of ranks and it
was soon necessary to take him
borne. In the meantime Miss Mari
bill Jolly and Miss Margaret Field
learned of his needs, at once went to
his aid, and in company with Mr. T.
J. Price took him to his home. Once
home they made tilings comfortable
tor him by arranging his bed, pre
paring medicine and first aid reme
dies and suitable diet. They were
told that they could go in a little
while hut declined until their sufferer
was made safe and convalescent and
so they remained at his side through
the entire day.
Setting aside the celebrations of the
day, the social and entertaining fea
tures in which they were to play a
part, features especially attractive to
young ladies of their age, these two
angels of mercy ministered to an af
flicted veteran and instead of pursu
ing their individual program for a
day of pleasure devoted their knowl
edge and efforss toward relieving the
distress of the old man. There were
many who learned of the devotion of
these twq young girls to this work of
kindness and mercy and were greatly
touched and affected by it.

FEW CENTS DESTROYS
YOUR DANDRUFF AND
STOPS FALLING HAIR
Save Your Hair! Make It Thick.
Wavy and Beautiful—Try This!
I bin. brittle, colorless and scraggy
hair is mute evidence of a neglected
scalp; of dandruff—that awful scurf.
There is nothing so 'destructive to
the hair as dandruff. I't robs the hair
of its lustre, its strength and its very
life; eventually producing a feverish
ness and itching of the scalp, which
if not remedied causes the hair roots
to shrink, loosen and die—■then the
hair falls out fast. A li'ttle Dander
ine tonight—wow—any time—will
surely save your hair.
Get a small bottle of Know I ton’s
Danderine from any drug store or
toilet counter, and after the first ap
plication your hair will take on that
kfe. lustre and luxuriance which is
so beautiful. Ii will become wavy
and fluffy and have the appearance
of abundance, an incomparable glow
and softness: but what will please
you most will be after just a few
weeks’ use. when you will actually
see a lot of fine, downy hair—>nnv
hair—growing all over the scalp,
