A delightful social event of the younger set was the masquerade party given by Messrs. John and Edgar Kelly on last Friday- night. Pumpkins, autumn leaves and lan terns were used with black cats, gob lins and witches to make the rooms at tractive. The dining table was cov ered with a Hallowe’en cloth; the cen terpiece was a largo pumpkin filled with fruit and surrounded by black cats, witches and goblins. Ices and mints, carrying out the Hallowe’en idea, were served. Each guest was presented with Hal lowe’en favors, —caps for the girls and horns for the boys.
