soon saw it was helping
me ... After 12 bottles,
I am strong and well.”

OBITUARY
H. M. MOUNTCASTLE.
Hilliard Manning Mountcastle was
born in Warrenton, N. C., January 4,
1852, and died November 2, 1917,
while on a visit to his son in Cedar
town, Ga.
He had been a resident of Carters
viHe 58 years, his parents having
moved to Cartersvllle and bringing
him with them at that time.
Mr. Mountcastle was inverted and
joined the Methodist church, now the
Sam Jones Memorial church, May.
1867, under the pastorate of Rev. C.
A. Evans. He was married to Miss
May Silah Richardson, of Cedartown,
Ga., April 4, 1888. Four children
were born of this union. His wife,
a son and one daughter preceded him
to heaven several years, and he at I
his death was laid to rest at their
side in Cedartown, Ga.
Accepting Christ early in life,
reared in the home of one of the finest '
Christian families and a home of re
finement and culture, he developed
early in life into a strong, noble char
acter, known and loved for his deep
piety and the pureness and trueness
of his life. He and every member of
his family were known for the ster
ling worth of their lives. There was
no good work of any kind in town
or county that did not at once com
mand his support and sympathy.
Mr. Mountcastle served during the
war on the side so near his heart ar.d
through all his life possessed a pas
sionate love for the Confederacy,
where his brothers especially were
honored for distinguished service.
He was also a loyal member of both
the local lodge of K. of P. and the
Masonic Lodge.
He was true in every avenue of
life, patriotic and warm hearted. His
life was a great blessing to the
church, his town, and especially in his
home where he remained even after
all the other members had left, with
the unselfish wish that he might keep
open the place where each member of
the family might feel that could re
turn and feel that he had up to the
last “Kept the home fires burning.”
He died a she lived, brave, true
and noble to the end, loving God with
all his heart and his neighbor as him
self, and so deserved what he most
craved—the “Well done, thou good
and faithful servant; thou hast been
faithful over a few things; I will
make thee ruler over many; enter
thou into the joy of thy Lord.”
MRS. SAM JONES.

CHRISTMAS WEEK ATTRACTION
AT THE ATLANTA THEATRE.
The special Christmas week attrac
tion at the Atlanta Theatre, Atlanta,
Ga., will be “Experience,” George V.
Hobart’s modern morality comedy dra
ma of today.
The engagement of “Experience”
begins at the Atlanta Theatre with a
matinee Christmas afternoon, Tues
day, December 25th, and continues for
all the week, with a popular matinee
Wednesday and the usual matinee Sat
urday afternoon. W T m. Elliott, F. Ray
Comstock and Morris Gest, the pro
ducers, will send to the Atlanta The
atre the famous New York-Boston Ex
perience organization with a cast of
eighty-two noted players. The beauty
of the young ladies, of this company
is said to have set a new’ standard of
girlish loveliness to the stage. This
is the company that played New’ York
for nine months, Boston five months,
Chicago seven months and Philadel
phia five months. Its success broke all
records for attendance in these cities
and caused “Experience” to be known
as the most wonderful play in Amer
ica.
“Experience” contains a little of ev
erything, and something that appeals
to everybody. The hardened theatre
goer will find much to amuse and in
terest him. The casual theatre-goer
will also be pleased, he will find a
blending of musical comedy with a bit
of drama, a dash of Pilgrims Progress
and a touch of farce comedy. For the
moralist, for the men and women who
go to the theatre only on exceptional
occasions, “Experience” will prove a
boon. They will find in it everything
they believe should be in a play. “Ex
perience” is endorsed by the Catholic
Theatre Movement, it is commended
by the Protestant clergy and Rabbis of
the Hebrew faith. It is a joyous com
bination of the new type of sunshine
play without' a dull moment in it.
In i ts ten brilliant, spectacular and
unusual scenes, “Experience” brilliant
ly tells the love story of “Youth”—
the average young man of today—and
his adventures when he leaves home in
search of fame and fortune. In the
Golden Cabaret scene, one hears all
the newest songs and sees the latest
dances. There i salso a gala fashion
promenad 1 in this act. “Experience”
is the ideal attraction for the merry
Christmas season.
Seats will be placed on sale Tues
day, December lßth, prices for the
Christmas matinee, Saturday matinee
and the night performances will be
