lanta Saturday after spending two
weeks in White.

The people of White were glad to see
the rain that fell Monday afternoon
and oh, what a rain.

League assembly and report the finest
time ever, reports are that Whites has
the best League in the Dalton District,
and the League say they aim to keep
pressing forward till the League is one
hundred per cent, and they invite both
old and young to come to the League

for everybody has a cordial inyitation
A Tragedy.
She laid a still, white form beside
those that had gone before. No groan,
no sigh from her. Suddenly she let
forth a cry that pierced the air, mak
ing it vibrate into a thousand echoes.
It seemed to come from the very depths
of her soul. Twice the cry was re
peated; then all was quiet again. She
would lay another egg tomorrow.—
