cave. Mr. Ragan was much Interested
in this natural wonder.
Mr. G. B. Hulme, on going out to his
property. Saltpeter cave, Sunday, found
six automobile loads of people there to
go through the cave, so he very cour
teously acted as their guide. One group
had driven sixty miles to see the cave,
and made four tripg over the short
route, from large to small entrance.
Some day this will be one of the big
attractions of North Georgia, and it
will pay somebody to build a rustic
hotel and start a summer resort amid
these romantic surroundings.
Mr. Hulme brought home some inter,
esting specimens of rock, some being
quartz with veins of shining substance
running through That might be gold—
and then again might not. Certain It
is that gold exjets in this section, but
in what quantity remains to be seen.
Forrest Barrett and George Hood
came down from Dalton and spent the
week-end.
Jim Dover, a young white man liv
ing several miles in the country, was
arrested and carried to Cartersvilie
Sunday, charged with stealing a gun
from an old negro named Dick Craw
ford,
A bunch of Kingston yo’ung people
occupied Gordon Rogers' camp during
the past week.
Mr. and, Mrs. B. R. Moore have re
turned from amotor trip tb Dahlonega,
where they were guests of relatives for
.several days. This is Mrs. Moore’s
girlhood home and she met a number
of friends she hod not seen in years.
