Watson arrested Hill Taylor, Roland Butler and Fred Leak, three negroes, aubout two miles from town and found in their possession ap proximately 125 quarts of whisky and ions. ue other package containing two gal- The negroes were in a six-cylinder National automobile and were return ing from Jacksonville. They were dis covered in tho woods by 9dam Till, a negro, who notified N. W. H. Gilbert, who suspected they had stolen teh car and wer hiding out. Mr. Gilbert noti fied the officers and they went,to the place as directed and found them. They were arrested and locked up, the whisky being placed in the vault of I T. Woodward, ordinary of the coun ty: In this place. Later, Judge A. C. Itlley, of the City court ordered destruction of the whis ky. The packages were taken to the sewer of the waterworks and there the sheriff, in the presence of a large crowd, opened each package and pour ed out.
