Report of Committee on County Farm.
Your committee appointed to visit
tho County Farm has discharged Its
duly, and begs to report that It found
Ihis department of the county’s Inter
ests In good shape with some fewv,- ex
ceptions. An excellent crop of oats,
corn and hay. with other produce, has
been grown and harvested tills year. A
largo acreage of oats has been sow*,
for another year, which are up an I
clvo prnmlso thus early of an abund
ant yield. Fall vegetables are Just
now In abundance on tho farm, which
arc being used to supply food for the
convicts of the county.
We find some of the buildings on
the farm badly In need of repairs. The
roof of tho dwelling leaks In several
places, and should have immediate at
tention. Several window lights
out, tho underpinning has given away
and one of the fireplaces should have
a new back placed therein. Tho life o!
tho roof of the barn would be greatl
lengthened, and a considerable saving
gained, by a coat of paint being an
