tion agitation may again spread to
Georgia which has what is generally
admitted to be the most air-tight

the possibility depends entirely upon

next January.

In this connection Representative
Brooks, of Cherokee county intro
duced a bill yesterday amending the
prohibition bill so as to allow the
keeping in one’s home for private
use of a limited amount of whiskey.
The amendment is not expected to

gia, and Willis A. Hawkins, of Sumter
county. State of Georgia, respectfully
shows:
1.
That they desire for themselves,
their associates and successors, to
be incorporated and made a body pol
itic under the name and style of
“Americus Seed & Supply Company”
for a period of twenty (20) years,
with the right of renewal at the ex
piration of said time, as provided by
the constitution and laws of the State
of Georgia.
2.
The principal office of said com
pany shall be in the city of Americus,
State and county aforesaid, but peti
tioners desire the right to establish
branch offices within this state or
elsewhere, whenever, the holders of a
majorty of the stock may so deter
mine.

That the object of said corpora
tion is pecuniary gain to itself and
its shareholders.

That the business to be carried on
by said corporation is a wholesale and
retail seed and feed business, with
the right and power—
(a) To buy, sell and deal in grain,
feed, seeds, bulbs, roots and plants
of all kinds.
(b) To buy, sell and deal in gar
den tools, farming implements, incu
bators and accessories, sprays and
preventhtives of plant disease, stock
and poultry powder* and farmers'
supplies of all kinds.
(e) To buy, sell and deal In poul
try, eggs and farm produce.
(d) To buy, sell and deal in sacks
bagz, cotton sheets, burlap, twine,
bagging and ties, baskets, hides, tal
low, beeswax and all like articles that
are generally handled in a wholesale
and retail feed business.

The capital stock of said corpora
tion shall be Two Thousand ($2,000.-
00) Dollars, with the privilege of In
creasing same to the sum of Twenty-
Five Thousand ($26,000.00) Dollars,
by a majority vote of the stockhold-
aaid stock to be divided into
shares of Fifty ($50.00) Dollars each.
Ten per cent, of the amount of capi
tal to be employed by them has
been actually paid in.

Petitioners desire the right to sue
and be sued, to plead and be implead
ed, to have and use a common seal, to
make all necessary by-laws and regu
lations, nnd to do all other things that
may be necessary for the successful
carrying on of said business, includ
ing the right to buy, hold and sell
real estate and personal property
suitable to the purposes of the cor
poration, and to execute notes and
bonds as evidence of indebtedness in
curred, or which may be incurred, in
the conduct of the affairs of the cor
poration and to secure the same by
mortgage, security deed, or -other
form of lien, under existing laws.
7.
They desire for said corporation
charter of either form or substance
by a vote of a majority of its stock
outstanding at the time. They
ask authority for said
incorporation to wind up its af
fairs, liquidate and discontinue its
business at any time it may deter
mine to do so by n vote of two-thirds
of its stock outstanding at the time.
