Town of Plains:
For the purpose of obtaining the
assent of two-thrids of the qualified
voters of the town of Plains, in Sum
ter County, Georgia, to an issne of
bonds for the erection and installa
tion of a system of waterworks and
ikewise for the erection and building
of an electric lighting plant-in and
for said town of Plains. Notice is
hereby given to* the qualified voters
of said town of Plains that an elec-
tion has been duly called and ordered
by the Mayor and Councilmen of tho
town of Plains to be held in said
town of Plains on October 14. 1919,
to determine tho question whether
an issue of bonds by the Mayor and
Councilmen of the town of Plains in
the sum of $}0,500.00, the same to
be designated and described as
‘.’Waterwcrk Ponds” in tht denomi
nation of $500.00 each, to bear in
terest at Re late of 5 per cent per
annum, pajabls semi-annually on the
first 'days of fuly and January of
each year after dute of issue, with
interest coupons attached thereto;
that the principal of said “Water
works Bonds” shall mature and be
paid and retiled as follows: One
bond of $500.00 to bepald and re
tired on January 1, 1021, and one

Plains, sufficient in amount to pay
the principal and interest of said
bonds so issued as the same becomes
due and within thirty years from the
date of incurring said indebtedness.
In the event the bonds known as
“Electric Lighting Plant Bofids” are
authorized and before the same are
issued and sold th'e Mayor and Coun
cilmen of the town ot Plaina shall
provide for the assessment, levy and
collection ot an annual tax on all
property both real and personal in
