gia, Mrs. Godbee having shot and
killed her divorced husband, Judge
Walter S. Godbee, of Jenkins coun
ty, and his second wife in July, 1916.
She was sentenced to life imprison
ment and has been fighting for free
dom ever since, a feature of her
fight having been the devotion of her
daughter; Mrs. Sarah Godbee Griner.

ATLANTA, Sept. 23.—Proposals
that Atlanta should hold a great
world exposition in 1923, commem
orating the great atrides nude by
die leading nations of the earth in

daring' and immediately following
the war, have met with favorable

by Senator Ivan E. Allen, who first
soggested the world’s fair, have in
formed the Atlanta convention bu-
