Alvin York To Aid In

ATLANTA, Oct. 29.—Alvin C.
York, who left Camp Gordon an in
conspicuous private, will return to
Georgia next Saturday aa the great
est hero of the world war. He will
speak at the auditorium here for the
Roosevelt memorial fund, and espec
ially for the proposed Roosevelt
Memorial Institute at Roswell.
The following telegram was receiv
ed from his today by Edward Young
Clarke, campaign director for the
fund in Georgia:
"I sure will be glad to get back to
my old stamping ground and to re
new my first acquaintances. There
could be no more fitting memorial to
perpetuate Roosevelt’s spirit of true
Americanism than a school for the
education of American boys. Expect
to arrive Saturday morning.”
