Andersofl have worked untiringly
these four days in telephoning, so
liciting, packing, marking and mail
ing articles collected from nil parts
of Americus which were so gener
ously and so liberally contributed by
people of the city for .no relief of
Poland’s destitute. Very few, if any,
solicitations were torned down, one
worker reporting a 100 per cent re.
suit from her canvass. Forty-eight
homes were personally visited, with
forty-eight hearty responses.
Especial thanks are extended
those who so liberally contributed
articles of clothing, bed covering,
necessities of every kind, and for
their ready response so cheerfully
rendered. It made the work of so
licitation very pleasant, and the lad
ies who were on the committee
greatly appreciate the manner in
which the work was accomplished.
