J. A. Granger, a well known citi
zen and owner of a flower nursery
at Sandersville. was served with a
warrant yesterday, on the charge of
burning his automobile on September
4, in order to collect the insurance,
amounting to $1,000. The money was
paid him several weeks ago.
The Rome municipal primary re
sulted in the re-election of the city
commissioners except in two wards,
where incumbents were not candi
dates. These, the Fifth and Seconci
are filled bv the election of E. E.
Lindsey a former commissioner, and
Lien Gann, a merchant.
