Tbe pic-nic at Sargent’s factory last Friday, gotten up by our young men iu honor of the College seniors, was a most select and enjoyable affair, and decidedly a gala day with the “sweet girl graduate" contingent. The party was composed of twenty-five or thir ty couples, the whole being directed and managed by Mesriames J. T. Car penter and H. C. Fisher as chaperones and Mr. D. P. Woodroof as cicerone. It is needless to say that there was an abundance to eat, ,and to spare,) or that tbe occasion was lacking in any essential prerequisite to thorough and genuine enjoyment. Messrs. Jackson & Clower, the photographers, had their camera on the ground and em balmed the likenesses of the happy pic-nickere in a series of pictures, all of which are quite good. The Senior group is especially so, and duplicates have been in lively demand this week. The party returned about sundown, thoroughly satisfied with the day’s pleasure and with each other.
