The genera] meeting of the fourth district of the Western Baptist Asso ciation met, according to appointment, with Ebenezer church on Friday, July 28th, 1887. At 11 o’clock A. m., Deacon A. D. Freeman, the appointee, preached the introductory sermon. Frayer was of fered by It. D. Cole, Sr. After a recess of one hour the dele gates assembled in the house for or ganization. The pastor and clerk be ing absent, Bro. R. D. Cole, Sr., was elected Moderator, and J. H. Summers, Clerk. Letters from the churches were col lected and read by Bro. A. D. Free man. The letters indicated a state of good feeling in the churches that was extremely gratifying. The following delegates were en rolled: Ebenezer—J. D. Arnold, J. X. Vine yard, E. B. Wilkinson, J. II. Graham, It. E. Applewhite, G. H. Lane. Providence—J. H. Summers, D. S. Summers. Macedonia—W. S. Copeland, E. S. Daniel, J. R. Thurmond. Newnan—A. D. Freeman, R. D. Cole, Sr., J. C. Gibson, Wra.
