Post, Esq., is in Birming ham where he will spend two weeks in attendance at the Gen eral Conference of the Southern Methodist church. Col. Post is one of the lay representatives of the North Georgia Conference. ' Dr. J. W. Quillian is at Young Harris, Ga., where he will deliver the commencement sermon on next Sunday. Pulpit of the First Methodist church in Newnan will be filled Sunday morning and evening by Rev. N. E. McBreyer, of Whitesburg. Mr. and Mrs. N.B. Hudson were called to Conyers last Tuesday by the death of the former’s brother- in-law, Mr. Miles Summers. Mr. Summers was a prominent business man, being a member of the Mc- Cord-Stewart Co., the wholesale grocers of Atlanta. Mr. and Mrs. Jasper N. Sewell, of this county, are in Alabama, where they will spend several weeks with relatives.
