An advertisement in the News will help. Try an advertisement in the News for that evil of midsummer business stagnation. News ads. are a certain cure for ailments of that nature. The people are coming to New- nan next Saturday, August 4th. Don't forget this, please; and join the throng that will hear Moke Smith’s speech. Coweta people disagm* in poli ties, but they are all together in regard to the statement that the Newnan News prints the news of ('oweta county. Atlanta is making strenuous ef forts to create a I’uekingtown scandal with the Atlanta trade mark blown in the bottle. Atlanta wants her slaughter houses in vestigated. The esteemed Weakly Howell Russell should get busy. The end of the gubernatorial campaign draweth nigh, and as yet that celebrated political llounderer has given no notice ol its intention to carry Coweta county I'orCol. Mstill. The right word spoken at the right time and in the right place never fails to help a town or city. Newnan people should always be prepared to speak for Newnan words that will be lied pin I and in spiring to the home folks, and words that will place Newnan in tin-strongest light before the world. The opposition to Hoke Smith in this county is centered in Newnan. The News predicts that more votes will be polled against Smith in the Fifth than in all other districts of the county combined. As the Fifth is two to one for Smith against the Held, it can readily lie si*en that Dick Bussell has a line show to earn Coweta county. One of prettiest affairs of the week was the reception Monday afternoon given by Mrs. Victor Mangel in honor of her chartiling guest, Miss Henrietta Smith, of Greencsboro. The Howell-nusscll should form an alliance with the Boss of Oglethorpe’s boom. What this eminent political Hopper needs is a change of base. It has liccu whooping for Dick Bussell too long, and another change of candi dates would probably cause a re turn of former roseate hues to the Howell Bussell’s political prognos tications.
