Opening Game of League Season

Monday next will usher in the official home opening of the Geor-
gia-Alabama League, and a record-breaking crowd will be in attendance.
The husky team from LaGrange, under the chaperonage of Jim LaFitte,
will be our opponents, and they will he accompanied by a large delega
tion of rooters. Practically all of the local merchants have agreed to
close their stores at 3 o’clock, and business of all kinds will be suspend
ed during the progress of the game. Get in line early and avoid the
rush. Choice seats will be taken if you don’t hurry out to the park.
Eat your dinner soon and follow the crowd.
Don’t forget the date—Monday, May 10. Remember the place—Lee
Park. Bear in mind the time—3:30 p. m.
Admission 25c; grandstand, 15c additional.

Somebody Pulled a Boner
Next Monday morning will be your last opportunity to send in a
suggestion for a nickname. Some lady will win the complimentary
season ticket offered by the baseball association, and it might be you,
gentle reader. Hurry up your suggestion.
