The Columbus Power Co. is prepar ing to double the capacity of ihe trans formers at its Goat Rock power plant, near Columbus, this being necessitated by the increased use of eleetric current in Newnan, LaGrange, West Point, and other industrial centers in West Georgia. Jones, for several weeks past, suffered a slight stroke of paralysis a few days ago. Congressman Adamson desires to hear from hoys between the ages of 16 and 21 who are in fit physical condition and equipped mentally and educationally to stand the examination for a cadet ship at the U.
