A Word to the People ol Newnan.
For several years our schools have
been crowded. There is pressing need
of a new high school building, and oth
er enlargements. The longer wo wait,
the more the children of the city will
suffer. As a friend of the children
(Newnan’s most valuable asset) I ask
the people of Newnan to vote for
school bonds, that we may provide for
the growing needs of the city's chil
dren. Ab to the location of a new
building, it seems probable it will be
placed on one end of the present Tem
ple avenue school lot. If the Board of
Education Bhould decide it best for the
interest of the city and her children to
buy a new lot, I am confident no ex
travagant price would be paid. Tbe
board has made no agreement to buy
any lot. Theo. E. Atkinson,
President Board of Education.
MIsb Marion Hertha Clarke is one of
the most successful and accomplished
impersonators and lecturers on the ly-

our great social problems, and for
meeting many of our most ardent social
workers. Sbe is a delightful and con

upon Tber subject, and presents her
theme in masterly shape, with literary
finish, spirit and sparkle. Her plat

unusual dramatic ability, a been ap
preciation of the humorous, and a
knowledge of human nature rarely
found in one so young. She does not
merely entertain, but reveals the in
nermost passions of the heart. A rich,
well modulated voice, coupled with a
strong, well-poised manner, makes it a
pleasure to present Miss Clarke to any
audience. She will be in Newnan Tues

were hearts and cupIds. When the
guests had all arrived an interesting
contest was enjoyed, after which a de

Miss Bowden wore for the occasion
black and white crepe meteor and lace,
with overdress of satin, and a corsage

who wore white embroidered crepe
